TRUE or FALSE?? sign of conservative, fear mongering:pathological HIGH FOREHEADS?

my 100th post!!!!
High brows sporting high foreheads --
-is this a symptom of some sort of cerebral defect???

and why do some powerful, rather nasty?(put very mildly) ,Warped Republican Leaders below possess these features-
unbelievable Washington Post article

hum, might their similar phenotypes be an indication of
a disturbed frontal lobe functions?

or
is it that it is so big, it lends itself to more surface area for injury by falls as a child???

how does one account for their bizarre set of views ???
?? on torture techniques,
?? for their disrespect for the fundamentals of the constitution of USA,Geneva Convention??

and their propensity for intense disillusioned revisionist history making?
Right ,I hear you now musing , this retired doc needs more to do than follow the foreheads in the news, and for that you would be right....

I bring this interesting clinical observation to you to give you a blip of humor with which to wash down the daily news!!
and now ,
more impressively is the photo of my Italian Grandma during the cold New England winter
of my childhood-
oh, and yes, sirree ,we four gals were sporting the ever fashionable, snow suits with hoodies of the day....a fine fresh memory for this hot, steamy day here in the south of France!
Like all of you,I am thinking sadly, about the Air France Flight that disappeared and their families and friends losses!!!
I pray that their light passes through the dark clouds to help sooth those left behind ...this is the only thing I can believe when tragedies occur!

May the H1N1 virus slow its advance ,may humor like below mark a teachable moment and not just the tools of fear, which really just block learning!!
Lastly, I leave you all with a word about a fabulous book,
by Greg Mortenson & David Oliver Relin

The books that changed the way people think about
changing the world: Peace Through Education
This is amazing stuff!!
stay well my friends!

9 unbelievably appreciated and swell comments:

100th post, that calls for congratulations...Very intresting post. Emotions/actions and the frontal cortex, thought provoking.

Italian heritage, living in the south of France, nice combo. We are still experiancing the chill of winter past.

Have a blessed day... as my thoughts and prayers join yours for the families of the Air France passengers.

Congratulations to you! I look forward to many, many more.
Your forehead theory is well worth a thought!
Love your childhood picture. We had the same fashion sense - that could have been me, too.
I'm so deeply saddened by the loss of the Air France Flight. It is hard to have a normal day thinking of the heartbroken families.
Wishing you all the best,
Catherine

I think the forehead theory sounds very plausible based on those exhibits!

Congratulations on 100! (And many more, as they say for birthdays.)

Great post...even better book. I saw Greg Mortenson speak. Amazing. My daughter started pennies for peace at her school.

The post number 100 is a mammoth of a post, may I say. That feature on foreheads and Republicans was superb. And your lovely photo of you and your Granny brought a smile to my face. Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

Great posts as I've scrolled back - awesome photos, both yours of your family and those 'borrowed' from French mags. etc. I look for Cote Sud and others (Maisons de Campagne and Campagne Decoration are wonderful) at the bookshops, but very hard to find here (North Carolina).
I was last in France in Oct. and grabbed as many mags. as I could carry back! My brother lives in the Languedoc so hopefully I'll return to visit before too long. Have just been home to England - perhaps you will enjoy my posts of scenic walks across the Channel - hope you can stop by!

Congrats. on 100 posts - they take a lot of work when as beautiful and informative as yours - I will definitely return for more enjoyment and enlightenment.

Warm wishes -

Dear Doc, don't know if my comment got to you or not. I am new at blogging and new to understanding a different culture, which I am looking for. Please excuse, if this is the second post. I am a retired RN trying to keep my brain active and stimulated. Loved your blog. Come visit me in the hills of Kentucky, USA if you see fit. Blessings
