Waking Dreams
“It is the window of time between sleep and full consciousness. It is when I realized that there’s something sacred and healing in the Self and that creativity can release its power…perhaps this power is our deepest connection to God and our souls and all that we, in our busy and conscious lives, are not still enough to hear or feel.
It is for some, a creativity…expressed by music, sculpture, painting, photography, gardening, cooking, writing, theater or dance.
It is a call to the true Self, to a path of growth…that feels full and life-giving like the best of friendships and the greatest of loves.
It is the sparkle of the soul we feel in church or temple in the midst of our world’s natural beauty…the beach, the mountain tops, and forests…the smiles of great faces…the giggles of children.
It is within each of us – buried, in some, amidst roles and agendas and brilliant in others who have been graced with great intuition or forced by disease or crisis to hear the whispers of the waking dreams….

7 unbelievably appreciated and swell comments:
I love your new look. Everything inside is so bright and colorful. I noted you said your were a doctor. No more? I hope it was a happy decision and not health related. I am a retired RN, too old to work. I did not retire until I was 70. Sure do miss it. Blessings

Is this your home??? Lovely. Delightful. Where do the little stairs go to, the ladder? It's okay if I come for vacation, yes?!?
That hutch looks like some place where Fairy Princesses make magical elixirs.
ms belette,
and yes, there are princesses and prince who make elixirs, often forgetting how to clean up afterwards! hee hee!
deborah,
the little ladder known as a escale du menusierie - I found in a brocante, flea market, is old from the 1700 's or so & serves as a provisionary staircase to the attic where we are converting, very slowly mind you, into an open plan living/dining/kitchen room and the beams above are really magnificant.
& yes, vacations to come!!!! nearby are the mountains and med beaches filled with history back to 700 years before Jesus!!!
amazing really!
my little shabby chateau-ish home!
have a great day!
